St. John's Dance - The Plot
Following attacks of epileptic convulsions, they all fell to the ground. With foam pouring over the edge of the four men's death blue lips, the villagers stood frozen by the devil's dance they had been forced to witness. Convinced that Satan himself had left his lair to possess the bodies, once inhabited by the youths. The scene taking place before the villagers' plate-eyed, weather bitten faces, was a window right into a world where uncontrollable body movements, delusions, hallucinations and loud outbursts spoken in tongues were accompanied by immediately contagious drums. The spectacle was St. John's Dance - the condition we will forever remember as the time when hell visited Maria Plaza in the Royal capitol city.
